Dear Parents, Namaste! Welcome to the new school year at Sharda International School, Gurgaon! Whether your child is just starting with us or getting ready to move on to the next big step, we’re excited to begin this journey together. I want to ask you a simple question: Why do we do things the way we do? Why do we focus on teamwork, thinking about our actions, or helping others? Why do we teach kids to listen, speak up, and care? This year, we’re taking a moment to think about the “why” behind everything—at school and at home. The world doesn’t need more success without meaning. It needs kindness, understanding, and people who lift each other up. Our goal this year is simple but important: to grow kindness, empathy, and care in all of us. These aren’t weak ideas—they change lives. And it starts with us, the grown-ups. How we treat each other—with respect, patience, and understanding—shapes the world our kids grow up in. They notice how we talk, listen, and act, even when we disagree. Every day, we have chances to show this—in the parking lot, when someone cuts us off, or how we talk to family, staff, or even strangers. These small moments create a wave that our kids feel and learn from. Together, they build the community and values we share. So, let’s work together. At home, ask your kids: What made you happy today? What are you thankful for? Who did you help, or who helped you? What did you notice about someone else’s day?
