Sharda International School celebrated its two days Annual Day function on December 8th and 9th in its premises. Chief guests Mrs. Madhu Azad, the Mayor of Gurugram, presided over the Primary wing function on 8th and Rao Dharam Pal, Ex-MLA, Gurugram, presided over the Annual Day celebration of senior wing on 9th December.
The programme commenced with Saraswati Vandana followed by a welcome speech addressed by the school Vice-Chairman Mr. Dipin Rao. The theme of the Annual Day “KALAAM – The Wings on Fire” was based on the life story of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalaam. The programmes were the endeavour to showcase the talents and aspirations of students. The function on both the days was a dynamic mix of creative expression by means of themed melodrama ‘Voice of Jungle’ presented by the students of junior wing. This program was followed by the dance fusion event in which students robed in coloured costumes enthralled the audience and set the stage on fire with their synchronized dance performances. The dance not only depicted various dance forms but also showcased the different colours of our Indian traditions. The school principal Mrs. Abha Raghav presented the annual report highlighting the achievements of the school in academics and co-curricular activities followed by the prize distribution ceremony for the students with intellectual brilliance and other extra-curricular achievements.
The chief guests of both the days appreciated, in their speech, the school’s continued endeavour to be one of the best schools. The guest of honor also lauded the contribution of the school in providing qualitative education in Gurugram. The programme ended with a vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem.
