TOPIC – DATA HANDLING
Obective: The objective of the activity was to help students
understand the concept of probability through hands on experience.
Observation and outcomes:
For this activity a deck of playing cards was used. Students
were asked to perform different tasks such as drawing a card at random and find
the probability of getting
I.
An ace
II.
A king etc.
The students perform the activity
in groups. they recorded the outcomes and compared the experimental probability
with the theoretical probability.Students actively participated, discuss their
results and understood that probability is based on favourable outcomes over
total outcomes.
overall the activity was successful
and helps students to grabs the concept of probability in a simple and
enjoyable way.
