Sports Day Celebration – Primary Wing
Sharda International School celebrated its vibrant and energetic Sports Day on 14th November, coinciding with Children’s Day, adding joy and significance to the occasion. The event was graced by the esteemed Director Sir, Mr. Narender Rao, who attended as the Chief Guest and encouraged students with his motivating presence.
The playground echoed with excitement as young learners from the Primary Wing participated enthusiastically in a variety of events such as sprint races, relays, fun races, and team activities. Their spirit, energy, and sportsmanship brought life to the celebration, making it a memorable day for students, teachers, and parents alike.
The school ensured that the event was not just about competition but also about holistic development. The activities were thoughtfully aligned with the five domains of child development .
Students experienced physical development through running, balancing, and coordination-based events. Their cognitive skills were strengthened as they followed instructions, strategised for races, and made quick decisions.
Sportsmanship and teamwork fostered social development, while managing excitement and learning to handle victory or defeat gracefully contributed to emotional growth. Throughout the event, students improved their language and communication skills by interacting with peers, cheering for teammates, and following announcements with attentiveness.
Director Sir, Mr. Narender Rao, praised the young participants and appreciated the sport’s teachers' efforts in providing such meaningful opportunities that support overall child development. The event concluded with a medal distribution ceremony, applauding the efforts of every child and reinforcing the message that participation and learning matter more than winning.
